Yesterday, I confessed on FB that I was a serial entrepreneur and I was going to launch an art gallery in my home! This morning I spoke to my husband about it in ernest. Much to my delight he liked the idea.
We already had plans for extending the conservatory and making it into a room we can use throughout the year. I am hoping I can convince him that we should make the dining room and conservatory one big room. I think he is is coming around to the idea so watch this space!
I have had my fair share of challenges in the corporate world in Norwich. Launching my drinks brand Sisserou is also a big challenge. Here I am again giving myself another challenge. Sisserou will continue as normal. The gallery will be by apointment only. There will be an online presence of the exhibits
My plan is to have the official launch on my 50th birthday on October 15th , 2017
Universe please work with me on this.
Everyone please send me your positive vibes
Well I have been fretting for the past few months thinking why why why did you do it Julia!
I love entertaining and I love meeting new people and maybe just maybe a few people would find me and then find my brand Sisserou Rum and Coconut Cream liqueur.
See www.sisserou.com for more details!
After only a few weeks of planning, Creole Fusion my Caribbean style pop up foodie event was launched on December 18th. I have had positive feedback from guests and I feel encouraged to take this forward.
We started with plantain chips and a tomato Salsa, then had callaloo soup, boudin, rice red beans, stewed chicken, fried ripe plantain and mango sorbet.
The rum punch and wine was free flowing!!
It was good to meet some new people and and see some old friends.
The next event is set for the first Thursday in February. It may well be a joint event with a Rabi!!

I sit here on my sofa with a lovely blanket on my legs just thinking…
I have been awake since 4.30am working. I posted an event on Facebook and Eventbrite, launching my pop up Caribbean Supper Club; Creole Fusion- https://creolefusion.eventbrite.co.uk. In the past when I have been in-between jobs I have always fallen back on my love of entertaining and having fun to earn a living. Why do I always use it as a gap filler? I enjoy it so much.
Mmmmm…. I think I have been trying to please other people. I am educated up to my eyeballs, and society tries to steer me to the corporate world. To be honest I have had enough of the pontification and posturing of others and office politics. I have too much going on in my head to be contained or restrained by the boundaries of an office setting.
I am who I am and today I make the decision to stop fighting myself, relax and be who I am.
I will run my pop up supper club and develop my drinks brand which I have been working on for about 16 years now!
Yes 16 years! Perseverance, perseverance perseverance!
I will tell you my story as I remember it and tell you of the development of my businesses as i progress and/or change.
